Piero Ricotti, a 64-year-old Italian electronics engineer, moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 1994 as a representative of an Italian telecommunications company. After traveling to 149 different locations within the UAE for work, he settled permanently in Dubai with his family. His wife, a clinical psychologist, worked at a Dubai university for 15 years, while his daughter is now associated with a local aviation company.
In 2018, Ricotti started his own venture, Tecnosistemi Solutions, which offers solutions in the telecommunications and high technology sectors. He is also a founding member and past President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the UAE. Ricotti places great importance on humility and intellectual growth, appreciating the UAE’s environment that fosters project execution and personal development. Besides work, he nurtures a passion for reading and hiking with his family.
