Italy: the most chosen destination in the summer of 2021

According to a survey carried out through the latest Google tool – out this summer -to monitor the tourism demand, called “Destination Insights”, Italy ranks first as the most chosen destination worldwide in the summer of 2021.

Actually, analyzing the available data concerning flights and lodging, Italy registered a growth of +75% in tourism demand. Thanks to the latest tool offered by Google, it is possible to detect the origin of those foreign tourists more interested in Italy. Namely they are from Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, and the United States.

Rome is the city which definitely is at the top of the ranking, followed by Riccione, Rimini, Venice, Milan, Naples, Florence, Caorle, Jesolo, and Lignano Sabbiadoro.

What about the most chosen destination by Italians?

Destination Insights allows you to detect the most chosen and popular destination by Italians, as well. Actually, even for Italians, Italy ranks first as favorite destination in the summer of 2021. Spain and Greece follow Italy, whereas France ranks fourth and the US rank seventh.
