The team of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the UAE, just under a month from the start of the Universal Exposition, had the opportunity to participate in the preview of Expo 2020.
An unmissable opportunity, the one that the members of the chamber team had the opportunity to experience, on Friday 24 September, when the gates of Expo 2020 opened to welcome the first witnesses of what will be the exhibition space that for the the next six months it is estimated that it will welcome 25 million visitors, making it one of the most important international events in recent years.
Within the Expo site, which is currently undergoing the last agitated preparations and from the extension of 4.38 sq km it was possible to visit the first completed pavilions, participate in the tests of the first events and admire innovative structural wonders, including the majestic Al Wasl Plaza, one of the buildings destined to remain even after the end of the Exhibition and an incontrovertible symbol of the excellence of Made in Italy in the construction sector.
There are three main pavilions, each dedicated to one of the different thematic areas identified as the central theme of the event: sustainability, mobility and opportunities. The Sustainability Pavilion, made up of a series of disc-shaped structures, covered with photovoltaic panels, will host the latest findings in the field of renewable sources and energy innovation. The clover is instead the design that distinguishes the Mobility Pavilion, which is instead surrounded by a large square decorated with animations and plays of lights.
The project of the Opportunity Pavilion is interesting: an undoubtedly particular structure with openings, passages and even a covered garden that will host themed events and shows. Other important pavilions of Expo Dubai 2020 will also be accommodated within this structure, namely the Welcome Pavilion, the Innovation Pavilion and the UAE Pavilion.
