On June 2, Italy celebrates the birth of the Republic established following the institutional referendum, the first vote by universal suffrage, of June 2, 1946. The referendum was called at the end of the Second World War, a few years after the fall of fascism and following 85 years of monarchy.

The Italian Industry & Commerce Office wishes a happy Republic Day to all its members.
