This is an introductory email that MACROPIX ITALY has recently setup the office in ITALIAN-CHAMBER IN THE UAE and Mr. Saim Mairaj – Business Manager- GCC has also joined the company and now the member of our Chamber who will be fully responsible for UAE and other GCC countries respect to the complete business requirement and will extend his support to existing & new upcoming customers.
The local presence will help the customer to closely discuss their project technical requirement and even though a quick supervision will be available locally from the starting of bid till completion of the project and so on the support will continue.

#UltraRunDubai 2018#UltraRunDubai 2018

Nicola de Corato, owner and founder of DubaiBlog, run a solo 140km ultra marathon this December to commemorate UAE’s 47th National Day. Supported by Dubai Sports Council, de Corato started his run on the 1st of December from Bab Al Shams at 12PM and finished at the iconic UAE Flag in Jumeirah. De Corato, a passionate extreme runner, has also undertaken a similar 100 km solo run in 2015 to celebrate the 44th UAE National Day. The event is supported by Dubai Sports Council (www.dubaisc.ae) while the logistic will be sustained by RTA and Dubai Police.

Tourist inflow to the UAE continues with the Northern Emirates increasing their role in attracting more foreign tourists with the key focus on culture, heritage, adventure and three S’ – Sun, Sand and Sea – tourism. In the UAE, Euromonitor International predicts that Dubai will lead with 16.65 million inbound city arrivals in 2018 followed by 2.4 million in Abu Dhabi, 1.86 million in Sharjah, 579.000 in Ras Al Khaimah, 399.000 in Ajman and 274.000 in Fujairah. For instance, Sharjah is mainly focusing on promoting the Emirate as heritage and cultural destination of the Arab World while Ras Al Khaimah is attracting more of adventure tourists as well as trying to cash in on its beaches.

New Saudi mining project to increase non-oil GDP by 3%

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on Thursday inaugurated the Waad Al Shamaal mining project which is expected to boost the Kingdom’s GDP by SR24 bln and its nonoil GDP by around 3%. The Kingdom will invest SR85 bln in the project, a 440-square km city for mining industries in the Northern Region, the ministry of energy, industry and mineral resources said in a statement. Mining is key to the Kingdom’s efforts to diversify its economy away from hydrocarbons, as the Government aims to more than triple the sector’s contribution to the Nation’s economic output by 2030.

Saudi’s plan new projects worth $ 3B

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia announced $3 billion in investment projects. He inaugurated 151 projects in the northern province of Tabuk valued at more than SR11 billion. The King has been meeting citizens and launching development projects over several weeks on a domestic tour.

Dubai’s Smart City Vision will rely on a complex network of interconnected technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain challenges such as sustainability, infrastructure quality, investment and funding, environmental quality, job generation and digital public services. Experts say that Dubai has already launched several smart cities entities and initiatives that will address these challenges to attract investment, create jobs and boost competitiveness, such: Smart Dubai, the Dubai Future Foundation, the Dubai Data Initiative, the Dubai Block Chain Strategy, the Happiness Agenda, the Dubai Roadmap and the Dubai Paperless Strategy.

A NATURAL RESERVE FOR ENDANGERED SPECIESA natural reserve for endangered species

There as in Island’s on the Arabian Gulf, about 170km southwest of Abu Dhabi, which is bustling with rich UAE history and culture, that acts as a sanctuary for endangered species. Today, some 17.000 animals are on the Island, specifically in a conversation area that is now called the Arabian Wildlife Park. The Island has become a popular eco-tourism spot with only one resort present which takes guests on safaris to view the free-roaming animals. There are breeding and relocation programs in place, which allow specific breeds to grow and be relocated into the wildlife of different parts of the world.

Resilience in the air

The Emirates Group announced steady revenue growth in the first half of 2018-9, which saw its profits being impacted by a significant rise in oil prices, plus unfavorable currency movements in certain markets. The group said despite other challenges faced by the airline and travel industry, it generated a revenue of Dh 54.4 bln for the first six months of its 2018-9 in the financial year, up to 10% compared to the same period in 2017.

UAE student satellite blast off in the space

A Nano satellite built by UAE students has successfully lifted off into space from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport in Virginia, USA. It was designed mainly for educational purposes, though the nano satellite has been built with two payloads. My Sat-1 was developed at the Yahsat Space Lab in Abu Dhabi, and Northrop Grumman launched it into space.
It took off from the Company’s Cygnus spacecraft and would deliver science experiments and essential supplies to the crew on board the ISS.
